I am curious if anyone has got this camera to work with Linux. It is a small camera with a compact flash memory chip. It does not work with sane.
It should work with gphoto and related camera access programs.
I tried gphoto a while ago and it did not then, I will have another look to see if it is in the list.
I have a recent copy of gphoto2 and it's not listed in supported cameras. Do you know whether the camera might operate as a USB mass-storage device (many do). If so, it is supported right from the kernel.
To check on that, connect up the camera and look at the resulting messages in /var/log/messages
This is a serial camera, photosmart 210. Maybe the raw Photosmart driver will do.
