Why not use that?
Because it's free and a24b31n72client10.hawaii.rr.com is subject to change. If I assumed the hawaii.rr.com domain, molokai.hawaii.rr.com still won't resolve.
As you can see, gtoft.penguinpowered.com and a24b31n72client10.hawaii.rr.com are the same machine.
No I mean why not use user@gtoft.penguinpowered.com? I'm guessing that gtoft is the firewall machine handling masq etc? Can't you use it's sendmail? You could also set it up to send any mail it gets for user@gtoft to go to the right machine if you need that. The other choice is to look at dydndns. For free they let you have all that penguinpowered gives you plus MX records. If you donated they let you subdivived your domain. I don't know how much of a donation is needed but I doubt it's much.
Cool! I'll look into when I unpack my stuff in L.A. I have five weeks left in my current house in Hawaii. -- George Toft http://www.georgetoft.com The more I use Linux, the harder Windows becomes to use.
