so Tumbleweed users will need to adjust the repos when the time comes.
Is this a little different than the concept of Rolling Releases from other distros? (Arch, Sabayon are full rolling releases).
Changing repros for each new base release is exactly the thing I was looking to avoid by switching to tumbleweed.
John, OBS has the concept of parent repos. That is if you build against the devel:languages:perl:openSUSE12.1 and you need a 12.1 package that is not in the perl repo to build with, it will be pulled from the parent repo. (ie. 12.1). zypper does not have a feature like that as far as I know. If it did, it would be straight forward for Tumbleweed to work as you want. Maybe you should bring this up on the factory list where Tumbleweed discussions happen.
