Boot machine from floppy, edit lilo to reflect new location of the drive and rerun lilo. Sounds like you had the drive as slave on the primary IDE of the old machine and moved it to slave on the secondary IDE of the new machine. You will also have to adjust /etc/fstab. fnally got the time today to move my linux installation to my new machine..... i put the hd as slave and when i tried to log into it the new system sees my drive as /dev/hdd and not as /dev/hdb the way it was causing a kernell panic...
any way around this without reinstallation.
