You cannot boot from CD-ROM, I assume? Is it a USB model? Why is the floppy drive so slow? Is it USB, too? What is that "nomce" parameter? Never heard of it.

Installation of SuSE 7.0 in the same way (FD + CDROM, 'linux nomce') works fine.
Kernel of SuSE 7.0 is 2.2.16-22. Kernel of SuSE 73. is 2.4.10 -4GB. The problem is maybe related to the kernel version...?

The problem was announced to SuSE support early in November but SuSE support has not yey succeded in assisting me with a solution.
Hmm, that's odd.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve my problem?
