There are hints in the above post that suggest the problem was related to these lines in your log: Jun 3 16:26:30 baer NetworkManager: <info> Error opening supplicant global control interface. Jun 3 16:26:30 baer NetworkManager: <WARN> real_act_stage2_config(): Activation (eth1/wireless): couldn't connect to the supplicant. Those indicate a problem with the wpa_supplicant module. You might force a reload of that and then try a rcnetwork restart.
