Hi Robert, I have had several ISP's and have used IBM.net for about a year and a half. They seem to be very Linux friendly. They have instructions for slip and ppp on their web site. They use PAP. They're 24 hour help line has never failed me. I really do like them. They charge 19.95 for 100 hours a month and they have dial up numbers all over the U.S. and the rest of the world for that matter. Good Luck, Steve Robert Farquhar wrote:
Greetings! I am a Linux newbie and I am planning to change my current operating system to SuSE 5.2. I have an e-mail account with AOL and one with CompuServe. For those of you that use Linux, do any of you use AOL or CompuServe as a provider? I asked both companies if they had interface software for Linux and neither has. Do you use a Windows emulator (Wabi?)? Is there an Internet provider out there that is Linux friendly? If so, do they have nodes throughout the US? I'll need to log in via a 202 area code. Thanks in advance for your help! Ert - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
