What is the default location for suse selection files, like: default.sel, Kernel-Devel.sel, Network.sel, etc. According to locate all *sel files are located in: /var/adm/YaST/InstSrcManager/IS_CACHE_0x00000001/DATA/descr
/var/adm/YaST/InstSrcManager/IS_CACHE_0x0*/DATA/descr Add more sources, e.g. ftp.suse.com, ftp.gwdg.de, and others (HD). You'll see there will be more of these directories, the */DESC/description contains the location. Would be fun to add a strange source, like */people/kraxel/9.1-i386, or */suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.1/yast_source, and see what happens in those directories... ;) /var/adm/YaST/InstSrcManager/ could be the *.sel files that make up the initial selection, at the point of first installation. This is the impression I have [doesn't mean I'm right, though ;) ] Cheers, Leen
