Looks like you are using some RC or beta of networkManager 0.9 maybe from tumbleweed and thus you need a plasmoid that works with nm09. It does exist upstream. Not sure whether it was already packaged.
Hmm. I do not have the tumbleweed repo active. I have 11.4, 11,4 updates, KDE 4.7 and GNOME 3.0.
Gnome3 depends on NetworkManager >0.8 - so that's the repo that pulled it on.
I don't mind removing all the NetworkManager related packages and adding them again. Is it enough to select all the ones with NetworkManager as part of their name? Or are there other RPMs that should be considered?
For KDE it's plasmoid-networkmanagement and anything you find with networkmanager and KDE in the package's name. In case KUSC already holds KDE 4.8 it might also have the plasmoid- networkmanagement package that fits NM 0.9.
