I think he was refering to there being 2.6.10 out now and we are at 2.6.8. Actually what SuSe and RedHat do is apply the patches to these kernel's from the newer ones that they believe are most important for us. So in reality the 2.6.8-24.11 is very similar to the 2.6.10 found on kernel.org. Just the version number is different. When SuSe 9.3 comes out they will include a newer kernel version.
