I'm running Firefox 3.0.6, latest Java (1.6.0_11), openSUSE 11.1 i386.
Several sites won't work because they say my Java plugin is either not present or an old version.
Can you give an example?
Try this: https://install.bankid.com/Javakontroll____174.aspx It gives a red "EJ OK" stamp, which means "Not OK".
Ah, I see.
It should look blue and give the Java version? (Attached)
I wonder if the java version is giving issues. Did you install from Sun or from openSUSE?
I have 1.6.0_11 as well: kai@xwing:~> java -version java version "1.6.0_11" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_11-b03) Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 11.0-b16, mixed mode)
However, the site seems to think I have 1.5x.
I had the openSUSE version installed until just a few moments ago. I removed all java packages and installed the rpm from Sun. The I did "ln -s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_11/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/browser-plugins/" and now the test shows "OK" and with the right version (Update 11) too. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
