I'm having a DNS problem that is driving me crazy. My ISP killed its manual proxy that I used to set up. The symptoms (and example URLs) are: - I go to www.monster.com; it works fine. - I click on my.monster.com. The (Mozilla .95+) status line reads "Connecting to my.monster.com," but it never connects. - I try to connect to my.monster.com with Lynx. I get a number of messages stating the address is not absolute. Finally I get a message "HTTP request sent; waiting for responst" where Lynx hangs forever. - Konqueror and Opera also will not connect to my.monster.com. - I can ping my.monster.com with no errors. Any help would be much appreciated. -- Jim Sabatke SuSE 7.1 Linux Kernel - 2.4.0 http://www.execpc.com/~jsabatke Through the canyons of the mind we wander on and stumble blindly through the often tangled maze of starless nights and sunless days while searching for some kind of clue a road to lead us to the truth but who will answer ...
