I really didn't want to write $SUBJ, but I cannot figure how to revert to the regular settings.
The laptop is running KDE on Linux 12.3, the windows are now slightly bigger than the available screen, maybe 10% - they pan along with the movement of the mouse, up/down, left/right. I expect some sort of BIOS settings, I did a reboot but that changed nothing.
I've checked the display settings, nothing there. Any suggestions?
I'm afraid I have to AOL. My mum doesn't have a cat, but she does do all sorts of strange things with her system.
At present, she has no taskbar at the bottom, her screen icons are all random sizes and I can't resize them, and her screen starts in low resolution then goes up to standard resolution, but moves all the icons into the low-res area so they won't stay where she wants them.
So to echo Per, how do I get things back to the default?
Cheers, Wol
If you're talking KDE Plasma5, remove ~/.config/plasm* whilst not logged in. If the screen settings stay confused, do the same for ~/.local/share/kscreen This should reset the desktop to default. -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a.
