Strange doings: The Canon PIXMA MP830 was spotted by Yast and a test page was printed. A day later, I sent a fax successfully. Now, the damned thing won't print -- not even a test page. It prints self-test pages. When I send a document to the printer, I hear the printer whirr and make other noises. Oddly, the KBJobViewer notes a docuiment with n bytes but 0 pages!
Use your printer queue administration commands to remove the bogus print job.
Has anyone "out there" any idea of what is going on? The people at Canon have no idea about Linux.
Canon refuses to recognize linux. In fact, when I once sent an e-mail about printer drivers for Linux, they didn't even have the courtesy to even REPLY with a form letter. Screw them. If they can't be bothered to support me, then I can't be bothered to give them my money. I'll buy anything except Canon. Epson works great, and HP works even better (although HP doesn't offer quite as high resolutions as Epson's printers). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
