Yes, but this is only the user space daemon, isn't it?
You're quite right. Sorry. However, since I know I've never compiled a kernel module for linux, and my laptop worked pretty quickly after I bought a wifi router, I'm pretty sure it is in the suse system. I looked in the kernel package for something that might be it, but didn't see anything. I have the Intel iwlwifi and ipw3945 sites in my bookmarks, but I don't recall ever downloading anything from them, and I just set up my wifi in the middle of June, so I'd have remembered anything more complicated than downloading and installing a binary rpm. But I really don't remember even that. Have you actually tried setting your machine up with the original suse installation? jp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
