Join the club. So far, there are no channels connected to the htt://red-carpet.ximian.com service and nobody has created a directory file to link red carpet to any of the apt repositories.
If you know how to do that kind of thing, there are probably more than a few people who would appreciate it.
Now somebody should pick up the task to include the RC functionality into the apt repository creation script (apt4rpm). Once it is there the RC channels will always be present for you. I can offer help and hints, but the actual coding is to be performed by someone else.
Creating the XML mapping for RC to apt isn't that hard. I've done it already... but RC doesn't play nice with 9.3 just yet, and when you try to setup a service on RC in 9.3 it complains abotu not being able to find the distribution. I have to create a special pointer to a distributions.xml that IDs 9.3 to RC.... or so my research/sources have told me. I'm more than willing to provide the whole OpenCarpet thing I've made for the gwdg servers to the gwdg maintainer/owner (it's just a hack of the XML output of the OpenCarpet script)... maybe between myself and whoever there we can script it so that the repository list is also transformed into the channels.xml file that RC needs.
