-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I fixed my problem. I removed Ghostscript 5.5(didn't really have what I was looking for anyhow), Ghostscript 5.1, lprng, and lprold. I then reinstalled everything and now it seems to be working fine. Next time though, when I decide to compile a program, I am going to check to see if I have a old version on there first. - -----Original Message----- From: NeoFax [mailto:neofax@email.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2000 11:32 AM To: SuSE Linux Listserv Subject: [SLE] Problem w/ Ghostscript 5.50 The other night I installed GNU Ghostscript 5.50 on my SuSE 6.3 box. Now, I am having problems printing. I can print using PDQ, but lp will not let me print. When I try to print from the CLI, lpr says there is no default printer. I can cat files to the printer perfectly fine. I also checked my environment variable and lp is set as $PRINTER. So what gives? If I can't get lp working, does anyone know how to set PDQ as my default printer? Would this be done by changing the environment variable from lp to pdq? And if so, Where do I change this?(/etc/profile?) Thanks for any help!
