I and others had alot of problems with TX timeouts when running the card in 100BaseTX mode. I was in touch with the driver's developer directly. After sending log files with the relavent error messages and other debug information, the problems were ironed out in subsequent releases of the driver. I'm running two SuSE 5.2 systems both of which are using EtherPower II cards. Anyone wanting to use the SMC EtherPower II card should be using version 1.03 of the Epic 100 driver.
