Subject: Squid on the Firewall/gateway
Hi all,
Our Lan of 22 workstations has 2 Linux servers .
Server 1 : 192.168.1.254 & 192.168.32.254 with 2 NICs : Intranet Server AND router
Server 2 : 192.168.32.1 --- running SuSE Firewals and wvdial.dod with an ISDN TA
I run my Apache/samba and all the other services on Server 1 .
The workstations share the 64k ISDN connection ........
Is it advisable and possible to run Squid Web Proxy on Server2 ,the firewall box ?
All the Win98s and a Linux workstation are on the 192.168.1.0 network .
Our Webserver is essentially a Test server for our portal site .
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
Regards
Anurag
