Ok here's a brain teaser.... I am setting up 7.0 on a Powerlite 85 (Sparc 5 85MHz). Everything goes well, the software installs, I can configure X and it works.... now comes the hard question... Upon reboot... The X server will not longer work, and in fact gives me a "cannot open /dev/kbd error 19" and dies. I pondered this all day (several reinstalls) and finally plugged a keyboard in the external port... and everything worked again. I could then unplug it and the system laptop keyboard would continue to work. Then when I reboot, and remove the external keyboard, it would stop working. I have installed under both yast and yast2 with the same results. Any ideas... direction... fixes.... helps.... -- Kirk Moore Network Engr/WebMaster Director of Technology - Superior Web Solutions.
