I've had SuSE 9.0 Pro running on my server for a while now with only 1 of the 2 CPU's. I've recently aquired the second CPU and am wondering if I need to re-install SuSE in order to fully take advantage of the second CPU.
I am using the stock Kernel from when I installed, plus any updates that have came down via YAST.
Thanks for the info.
-={ Kyle }=- Hi,
All you need is to switch kernels to the SMP version. You should be able to do it in YAST. The regular install process automagically recognizes the SMP hardware, but you have to manually switch the kernels for a upgraded HW config. I know of no other significant changes that need to be made. PeterB -- Using SUSE since 5.2 Loving SUSE 9.1 Pro My Blog: http://vancampen.org/blog --
