Hello,
Will the techno pollution going on I am at a point to start encrypting any emails that I send out. Using my client (mostly thunderbird), whats the best method and experiences out there - recommendations please.
Thanks, Sam.
Most mail clients support X.509 certificates and also PGP. Please remember that when you encrypt, you need the other persons public key. This means the recipient will have to arrange for their own public/private keys. For business uses, I'd go with X.509 certificates rather than PGP, as creating PGP key pairs may be a bit beyond the ability of most people. There used to be free personal X.509 certificates from Thawte, but that ended when they were bought out by Verisign. Also, if you have encryption, you also get digital signatures, which may be useful in some circumstances. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
