OK, I was bored, and it's nearly Christmas, although I hadn't been drinking, I promise, but I've put packages of Phoenix up on www.usr-local-bin.org and if you want to know why, well, here's the skinny...
* Phoenix 0.5 - Includes SuSEconfig script to setup plugins - Includes GNOME2 menu entry - Ready for Flash 6 plugin
This effort is appreciated but there is not need for an rpm. Phoenix presents a complete binary. It only requires un(?de)compressing and a sim-link to $PATH. To remove it from your system, simply delete the eitire $path/phoenix directory and the phoenix dot files below /home/you. Participating in the nightly releases merely requires the $path/phoenix directory deletion and replacement with the new build. Then the same sim-link and your dot file configuration will remain. One possible hic-cup, you might want to retain a copy of your /plugin directory so it is not required to rebuild, just copy. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org icq#173753138 http://home.indy.rr.com/paka/
