Went to Konsole, and tried to ping a local company. This ping works on Windows machine. Swapped cables on router, fault is still on Linux machine, ping works fine in Windows still. Tried from Linux machine to ping router. (Ping 192.168.1.1) and this works fine in both directions. (Router is wired Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router with 4 port switch.)
Ping said local company via its IP. This may be as simple as a bad DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf You can manually enter 208.67.222.222 as the dns server in that file to see if it fixes things. If so you can use this page https://www.opendns.com/start/device/suse-linux to configure a more permanent setup. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
