SafeWeb ( https://www.safeweb.com/ ) is a websurfing anonomizer. Their TriangleBoy software is free, open source, runs under Linux and is designed to penetrate firewalls that would otherwise block access to SafeWeb. However, I want to make the Linux community aware that an article in the February 26 Sm@rt Partner magazine ( www.smartpartner.com ) reported that a venture capital fund (named In-Q-Tel) funded by the US Central Intelligence Agency had made an investment in SafeWeb. Since TrinagleBoy is open source, its security might be verified, but in the absence of that, I would be cautious. At least, it's open source! With Microsoft, we'd have no opportunity for verification!
