I updated my system with YOU yesterday and one of the things that was update was Thunderbird. Now when I try to use Edit/Find/Search Messages, it says:
XML Parsing Error: syntax error Location: chrome://messenger/content/SearchDialog.xul Line Number 1, Column 1:
urce = RDF.GetResource(uri); ^
Aargh! Has anybody seen this? Does anybody know how to fix it?
For the archive: I asked on Mozilla's Thunderbird support forum and was referred to: <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Thunderbird> The problem seems to have gone away after I removed an extension (External Editor), so for now I'm treating it as fixed. <aside>I find it difficult to believe that a minor version upgrade 1.5.0.6 to 1.5.0.7 could introduce a change in the system that could cause an extension to malfunction, and I also find it difficult to believe that an extension could affect the core application functionality - Search and Help - in this way , unless the program is unbelievably badly structured. So I suspect there's something else going on that may eventually surface.</aside> Cheers, Dave
