I have an OpenSuse 10.3 box, sync-ing with a bunch of repos using Smart Package Manager.
With OpenSuse 11 on the way, I'm trying to figure out the "best" (= safe? = easy?) way to migrate/upgrade my current setup.
I'd like to end up using the new Zypper/Yast2 under v11.
What are the steps I should take to (1) prepare for the upgrade to "Release 11", and (2) switchover from Smart to Zypper/Yast2?
Thanks,
Wil
IMHO, download CD or DVD, burn on disk, reboot computer, follow the prompts. To make sure that computer will boot fine you can use LiveCD. If you want to try in advance, the latest is: ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/projects/FactoryLiveCDs and KDE LiveCD works fine here. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
