When some one logs in, not as root, the Kinternet needs to be started: right click on the symbol and choose 'start'. Only then the DOD will work. I am a bit dissapointed it doesn't remember that, when you logoff, you need to start it again the next time. Well, at least you don't dial in by mistake. Hello again, Sorry for the brevity of the original. To re-iterate in more detail. I have successfully installed SuSE 8.0 and am happy with the basic set-up apart from internet access.
This is a stand-alone PC to be shared by all the family so D-o-D sounds like a godsend. However, DoD only appears to work from Y.O.U. which I suspect is because YOU is run as root.
Can anyone confirm and/or suggest any solutions?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I suspect that somewhere along the line I need to either: 1. Add the relevant users to the correct group; OR 2. I need to change ownership of a D-O-D script somewhere. Can anyone suggest a likely candidate?
