I've got this new machine based on Kaby Lake chipset: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 620 (rev 02)
but after an installation of Tumbleweed I feel the graphic performace is quite poor. (Just guessing it's graphics though because the CPU should be quite capable and the system is not loaded much.)
I notice quite unsteady animations or under Gnome shell and also smooth scrolling in Firefox is not always quite smooth. My 4-5 year old predecessor (Intel graphics based as well) machine was feeling snappier with Leap.
So I'm wondering if anyone has a pointer to tuning proposals for that sort of machine under Tumbleweed?
really no Kabylake users who solved those presumably ?graphics? performance issues.
just for reference here is the glxgears result from that machine which is roughly 60 fps. I have no idea if that is expected or not for 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 620 (rev 02) Wolfgang (still talking mainly to himself) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
