What is the file size limit for SuSE 7.0? (Someone told me SuSE had a patch to exceed the 2 gig file size limit.)
depends on the kernel. 2.2.x kernels have a 2Gb file size limit, but the 2.4.x kernel (and i believe the later 2.3.x kernels) don't have this limit. i am not sure if there is a limit @ 64Gb, but for now, that should not be your problem anyway... so, uname -a to find out... suse also has the 2.4.0 kernel as rpm available. or get it from kernel.org. martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- no cat has eight tails. a cat has one tail more than no cat. therefore, a cat has nine tails.
