I made some content available to friends via my ftp server, and I'd like to find out who logged on. I know there must be some logging done, but I can't find where it's recorded. Can someone point me to the right location?
The answer depends on which ftp server you are using. Assuming it is vsftpd, then edit /etc/vsftpd.conf, and add or change: syslog_enable=YES xferlog_enable=YES entries will be made to the syslog detailing who logs in and what they down/upload. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
