I did this with SuSE 7.1 six months ago. Basically, it doesn't care
or know that the monitor is LCD. The video card is the biggie. It
works best if you can run at the native resolution of the display,
1280x1024 in my case. Anything else is going to be a little blurry.
I worried about it a lot before hand, but the actual installation was
straightforward. It took some tweaking to get fonts that looked good
at the new resolution.

I am thinking of replacing my large and heavy 17 inch monitor with a more compact TFT LCD one.
Does anyone use one of these TFT monitors with SuSE 7.3? Are there any installation problems, and do they work satisfactorily?
I use a resolution of 1024 x 768.
Any information on which models work with SuSE, will be very gratefully received. I would rather hear of experiences from users than just finding out from a database which ones are supported.
Many thanks
Keith
