I rarely use YaST. Things like this do not encourage me to use YaST.
You mean, you use the system in some non-standard way?
You mean, like, a simple linux dual boot?
So, your deviant choices are ok, but hers are not?
The problem is, Yast (and so many other automagic tools) are optimised/tested for the simple, basic case. As soon as you try to do anything beyond that, you end up fighting the tool. My laptop is Windows, SuSE and gentoo. That was a nightmare to get booting properly. I set up a test machine with SuSE on raid. That was a nightmare to configure the disk. I tried to get SuSE to start my WiFi network at boot. That's STILL broken. That's one of the reasons my preferred distro is gentoo. At least if it breaks, it's my fault and not some damnable Artificial Stupidity tool double-guessing me and screwing up :-) Cheers, Wol -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
