A Zip100 can be mounted by using sda4 as the device, since it already has vfat on it. When you format a blank disk as ext2 you can mount it as sda. I use the auto syntax in fstab and it automatically mounts the correct filesystem type, as long as ext2, msdos and vfat are filesystems compiled into the kernel JLK On Thursday 22 March 2001 10:48, James (Jim) Hatridge wrote:
Hi all
I've got my Zip 100 external working. It works great with blank diskettes. BUT when I try to mount the zip tools disk I get this error:
Mount: /dev/sda4 is not a valid block device.
I tried to mount it as both a vfat and msdos. Either worked, any ideas?
TIA!
