I'm suspecting, ATI driver conflict with alsa diver. I've forgotten, but maybe from ver. 8.5.
Haven't you got a sound problem with the ATI driver?
Regards,
Masaru, No sound problems at all. I don't know what is happening with the ATI driver, but it has ballooned in size from just over 50 meg at 8-9 to over 72 meg at 8-12 while performance has gone down to tubes. Maybe the 9-1 driver will be better. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
