Hello all. I have been having fits with trying to get my SBLive 5.1 card to recognize my external keyboard. I have been scouring the web and googling my brain out. I have come to the conclusion that despite the hype around this card, it's midi capabilities (at least for external keyboards) suxors big time. >: {
So, can you guys recommend a sound card with a convention joystick port midi adapter that actually works? I would very much appreciate any advice.
I think the SBLive is the easiest card to setup, almost all the docs now use it as the default example. I remember my keyboard worked fine with the SBLive joystick port, and it works even better with a USB midi-cable. You must have some configuration problem with the joystick port?, I don't think it's a SBLive problem. Maybe the joystick module isn't loading, or you don't have it built in to your kernal? -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
