Hi, I have a small network, where smpppd is running on a "central compu- ter" (10.0) and that particular comp can dial-in through modem to the net, when anyone on the clients (9.1, 9.2 and 10.0) initializes the connection via Kinternet. My question concerns likely the scripts running on both the server and clients, because seemingly there is a difference in these. e.g. on the server everything works nicely, but at the clients all my custom ip-up.d, ip-down.d and if-up.local scripts work quite randomly. Please could you lead my to a direction, where I could checkup a howto or explanation on SUSE-specific features relating to the beha- viour of these scripts in the case, when smpppd runs on a particular host OR runs on a separated machine?! My idea was that there should be no difference, but seemingly there is and I would like to understand this in detail. I have e.g. the print- out version of the admin and user-manual of 9.1, but there this topic was completely skipped. The corresponding manual pages I couldn't find. Thank you, Pelibali
