What happens if you use slip or ppp on /dev/ttyACM0 ? It looks like you have the right modules loaded - acm in particular.
Unfortunately, non of the standard dial-up tools can access this modem.
what sort of errors are you seeing?

When I try to use slip or ppp on /dev/ttyACMO I get the message that the modem can't be accessed. Dave
