tkstep is a library that replaces tk and gives tcl/tk apps the NeXT style widgets. symlink wish to wishstep and libtk4.2.so to libtkstep.4.1.so or it won't be used. The version of tkstep that comes with SuSE is for tcl7.6/tk4.2. There is also a tkstep for newer versions of tk, although not as many apps use the newer version. I have a screenshot of an Xaw app on my linux page. What neXtaw does for libXaw apps, tkstep does for tk apps. jonno@printsters.com wrote:
Hey, what's tkstep? I went and installed the package, but I don't know how to run it. Is it not a window manager started by startx? TIA -- Jon.
