To my chagrin, I downloaded the boot floppy and was able to discern that it was using kernel 2.0.36 build by the same old gcc2.7.2.1 and I'm guessing libc5 though I couldn't discern that for certain.
The boot floppy uses 2.0.36 right; as a 2.0 Kernel it needs to be compiled with 2.7.2.x since no one wants to fix the kernel ('cause most of the kernel folks don't trust egcs...)
Right after the installation, you'll be prompted to install the kernel to run your system with: and then you have the choice between 2.0.36 and 2.1.13x.
:(( - this is the way it should be, but due to a stupid bug YaST might not prompt for 2.1.13x, if you install via FTP.
