You can use the YaST "Change Source of Installation" to configure which device(s) and / or remote server(s) to use as installation sources.
Yes been there done that ...... and it "politely" tells me "to take a hike".
It denies that there's any "DVD:///;devices=/dev/hda" and "Error(Media:invalid filesystem) .... and suggest I try again .... yeah right ;-)
Just checked /dev ..... no cdrom / dvdrecorder device ..... sounds like a reoccuring problem that showed it's ugly face.
On my system, there's one DVD-ROM drive and one DVD recorder. YaST insists on referring the recorder as "cd:///", which makes no sense to me (the other device gets a little cranky from time to time, and I prefer not to use it). But hey, it works for installing packages, so I'm not complaining. Try all the devices even remotely like the one you're trying to access before giving up.
