Hi all,
hope I am not starting a heresy. Has anyone had a look at Ubuntu 10.4 with Unity Desktop? Any thoughts on Unity on openSuSE? My first impressions of the minimalism and smartphone orientated desktop philosophy seems quite interesting. I got on to it because I had some difficulties with Gnome 3, just as initially with KDE 4. I want my sane interfaces back. I have yet to meet anybody who likes the unholy mess that is gnome-3. Jul 26, 2011 +1006

I sinserely hope unity NEVER makes in to any self respecting desktop distro. That minimalistic screen maybe good for tiny phone screens and tabs but totally useless for desktops and laptops that has a more than 12" screen. Try opening several command terminals with unity. You'll go crazy pretty fast if you use it for long.
