Hi, I've seen the light, and have seen what a nice package fetchmail is, and I've tried to set it up as suggested in the Offline-Mail howto.
Yes. Fetchmail is great. I've used it for years.
yes, I agree. Works very nice.
The problem I'm having is that my password is rejected. I tried pmail also, and my isp mail server rejects the password.
This is really strange.
Any typos?? sometimes, you have to look more then twice. ;-))
This is what my ~/.fetchmailrc looks like: stevep@Asimov:/home/stevep > cat .fetchmailrc
poll mail.brokersys.com protocol pop3 username stevep password xxxxxx poll mail.linux-shell.net protocol pop3 username stevep password xxxxxx
Just one hint: the german service gmx changed the way you fetch mail. Instead of your username, you'd either use the full e-mail address, or a customer number. (6digits), which won't work, unless you put it in quotes. If there is something strange, I'd try that first. poll mail.linux-shell.net protocol pop3 username "stevep" password "xxxxxx" just like that.
