How shall those owners know that it's bad technology that they choose? They are no technicians. Most of them don't even know to operate the Windows system properly.
I think by now every non-tech person knows that: 1. it's important to have a website 'mobile ready' 2. iPhone is one of the leading mobile platform 3. iPhone has no flash support If they care about their business it is something to highly consider. Furthermore Gnash does really quite a good work with most websites. I have been running Flash-free for now almost 2 years because flash was making my OS freeze (one of the deciding reason) and Gnash-free for 6 months. Why Gnash-free? So marketers looking at their logs see that they have visitors without flash installed (which doesn't happen when using Gnash). Either way we can all rant as much as we want, it's not like it is our decision to have Flash on Linux or not. And yes I do have a virtual machine which I (rarely) launch when I really need to see a flash-only website.
