At any rate, the RPM works beautifully. It "feels" much briskier than the default Mozilla from SuSE 8.1. Java 1.4.1 works as well.
Yeah, that was my feeling too, I thnk GTK2 generally is nippier than GTK1. So much for software bloat eh? More features, better performance, now that's what I like ;)
Question: Is there a particular reason you've decided to compile for i386? After all, SuSE 8.1 is compiled for i586.
