Hello all,
I'm currently suffering from the following problem: At a certain point in time, the screen will start to shake a little bit, becoming worse, and then start to corrupt, and will eventually lock up. This can take as little as a few seconds to a few minutes. This is independent of the OS.
I've tested the RAM, have tried it with a different PSU, and a different graphics card: no luck so far. Any idea what might cause this?
Is it a CRT monitor? In that case it's probably the monitor itself that's broken. I have a similar problem with my old monitor where it might work for some time and then suddenly some flicking horizontal lines appear on the screen, making the screen contract and expand in rapid flow. Sometimes the screen turns slightly yellow at those times. It makes working with such a monitor very trying and hard on the eyes. Try a different monitor if possible. Sandy
