Huh. Why should you want to do that? If you change these, you must also change the kernel sources to recognise the new numbers, recompile the new kernel and intall it. Your major and minor numbers should be installed correctly by SuSE. Please tell us your problem and I bet the solution is not the change the major and minor numbers.
