Nothing of the logs makes sense unless its not /var/logs/messages. A friend got it back up but /etc/resolv.conf on reboot gets restored to 0 length. The trick was to use pico and edit the file to say namespace 8.8.8.8 but that does not work now. Ill have to sneaker net the tests over to this machine. Its not the router as it works for the DV6000 and the Dell with Peppermint. I agree reinstall is drastic but if elegant does not work its the only thing.
Ill rerun the tests after work.

That may be a bug. I've seen the new methods of managing resolv.conf mishandle it in a number of ways. The systemd networkctl and be unfriendly to a custom resolv.conf, but if you have created a custom resolve.conf, networkctl (and any of the other network managers) are supposed to be smart enough to not break what you have written.
