For some reason, I couldn't get Qt to work, so I select "2" for GTK, and Bingo!
thanks a lot, that's really useful! i also like opera and hate it's original file dialog. in my case though, option 1 (Qt) works. that's probably because i'm not using opera from the openSUSE repos, but downloaded version 10 from opera's website.
