And besides that, the html code used for printing is not the one used for display. This is intentional and controlled by the web page.
many sites, wikipedia is a good example, explicitly have different CSS for printing. Its easy to do. The same logic holds for displaying on phones and tablets. I don't know if such capability exists in HTML5 to control the html depending in the type of display.
